Why are so many internet bullies attracted to Religion & Spirituality and Gender & Women's Studies?

I believe that they mistakenly perceive that the groups you mention are softer targets for abuse.
They tend to attack the ones who they think that they can defeat.
We need to let them know that those groups will not be defeated by words or by the sword.
They have an outlet for their insecurity.
Please describe an internet bully.

Because they have nothing else to do!
And everyone thinks that their self is right and everyones wrong and get satisfaction off of proving their theories ect.
fear of what they know is wrong or when some is tought to think a singular way then ther way of thinking is singular.
They were raised by domineering might makes right parents with strict religious beliefs and limited views about women. And they bring that crap with them when they come here.
They could just be internet "trolls" people who are bored who just post on message boards to start controversial arguments to pass their time. These are the people who attack you personally and not your point of view.
If they respond to a post in a logical and well thought out response they could just really be interested in knowing why you believe the thing you believe.
I'm not really all that religious but I always find it interesting to talk to someone who has such strong feelings against religion. Because it helps me understand sometimes why I feel a certain way. Why (while I'm not all religious), I can't completely deny religion. For me when I talk to someone who has a different point of view from me I tend to learn and expand my views which I happen to enjoy.
Because-they haven't the bottle to be confrontational in society, they choose places where people are likely to be vulnerable, and put in the boot.
But they are never the hero. If their boss bawls them out, they grovel and fawn and beg for mercy. Nothing so fearful as the bully being bullied.
