Someone please give examples of Latent inhibition.?

Read the dictionary definition but I'm needing more explanation. Is this taken as discarding information that will is considered not relevant?

Answer:
From Wikipedia:

Latent inhibition is a process by which exposure to a stimulus, of little or no consequence, prevents conditioned associations with that stimulus being formed. The ability to disregard or even inhibit formation of memory, by preventing associative learning of observed stimuli, is an automatic response and is thought to prevent information overload.

So yes, latent inhibition is the process of discarding stimuli which is seen as not being relevant. It prevents us from being overloaded with information out there in the world.
