Do you understand this dream?

Last night I had a dream I saw (not sure how many) about 5 Space shuttles in circle formation hovering in the sky at high altitude spinning in place. There was a Military helicopter in the middle.

I couldn't tell where I was because i was looking up at the sky wondering why they were there and amazed, so I didn't see my surroundings but I was by a bridge because suddenly they all fell out of the sky as the helicopter remained hovering. I watched them all fall into the water at the same time and saw that the pilots parachuted to safety. When they splashed down I saw the shore line and the bridge that crossed over the water. But instead of the pilots coming up off the shore a lady I barely know came up from there with a robe covering her bare body then she came up to my level and joined this guy waiting for her lying on a blanket fully clothed tossing an infant in the air while he laid on his back. As if they were there to see what was happening as entertainment..

The woman in the dream is not my friend, lover or wife she is an acquaintance (admittingly attractive but older). The Guy is not me and the child is not a baby. I am uninvolved just a spectator that noticed her and she notice me we had few words I remained uninvolved.

Answer:
…..Not every dream has some kind of hidden meaning, although some dreams can give you hints about things that have been on your mind lately. To understand how this works, it’s helpful to keep in mind why and how you dream. When you sleep, your body and perception systems are shut down, but your brain stem continues to fire. The cortex is only minimally active.

The content that has been most active in your brain during waking hours—perceptions, experiences, thoughts and feelings, processed consciously or unconsciously—are still “peaked” and they associate with other images already stored in your cortex. In other words, the brain references this content, but not in a rational way, not using input from the external real world as in waking hours. So the story connectedness isn’t like everyday experience, but rather a strange flow from one image to the next.

Therefore, dreams aren’t magical messages to guide your life, but sequences of associated images taken from everyday experiences - thoughts and feelings that matter a lot to you during your waking life. So it’s a mistake to apply one-size-fits-all symbols, such as Freudian meanings or standard “dreammoods” formulas. All you need to do is think about what kind of imagery it is and how it relates to your daily life.

Your dream images have no single theme. They are typical of the non-rational association of images and events - which don''t have the recognizable continuity of input from the real, waking world. The main theme, if there is one, is that you are an observer of life going on around you, not a participant. Space shuttles, human relationships, you see yourself somewhat interested, but detached from that, not really participating. Perhaps this is a major theme of your life right now - you suggested you were not involved in an intimate relationship - the feeling of detachment. Which may have been your most active feeling when you went to sleep and associated with these random images.
