Historically, we value the Civilisation word, what does it really mean tho?
As you know, i'm an Archaeologist/Historian by my primary and Masters study, *which means i've acquired one REAL degree by the standards of Islamic education.* Some of the more perceptive people here will make an educated, even accurate guess at what i'm studying at Phd, my questions here do have a theme, I want some truly personal opinions for my research.
Really am interested to hear your answers to my question. =)
Answer:
the dictionary defines civilisation thus,
civilization |ˌsivələˈzā sh ən|
noun
the stage of human social development and organization that is considered most advanced : they equated the railroad with progress and civilization.
• the process by which a society or place reaches this stage. • the society, culture, and way of life of a particular area : the great books of Western civilization | the early civilizations of Mesopotamia and Egypt.
• the comfort and convenience of modern life, regarded as available only in towns and cities : the fur traders moved further and further from civilization.
