Do you hate to admit your wrong or at fault?
I do ,and I am not saying that I wont come forward right away and admit my wrong doing, its just that it takes a piece of my pride along with it and I would personally rather the whole deed go unoticed,so I don' t have to take a look at the wreck.
What are your thoughts on this from your own expierence(I am not asking to be analyzed,so please dont go there)
Answer:
I do admit when I am wrong (lately I have found this to be quite liberating). Part of being a mature individual is being able to put pride aside and admit that you are wrong and move on. I realize that pride can cause stagnation and cause my eventual downfall so as a result I have learned to suck it up and do what is best for myself by admitting my wrong.
I'm NEVER at fault lol :)~
i don't mind admitting i'm wrong unless i go through a whole argument or something to prove i'm right when really i'm wrong. then i just feel so embarrassed
Yes, I agree with; "it takes a piece of my pride". But it does replace that with wisdom and ethics. So you gain in two area's! So back atcha, why is "pride" so important?
ya im the same way. i feel like its a total blow to me to admit im wrong. ive asked some ppl (like psychologists) and theyve said that it is a learned trait and can be unlearned with some practice. you just need to swallow your pride and know admitting youre wrong will ultimatele help you become a better person.
I admit when I am wrong.i guess the older you get...the easier it gets. But when I was a child...it was really tough.
Just look at it as a learning experience and it wont bother you so much.unless you are around someone who is petty.
But I'm never wrong.
Okay, okay, so that's not true. Actually I don't have much of a problem with that. 'm much more concerned with maintaining my relationships and I believe strongly in apologies as a way of keeping everyone happy. I kind of expect the same treatment from others as well.
Well, I sure don't like being wrong but I will admit it if I am. But truth is, I am right most of the time. And I like it that way. But I guess the only way to learn is to be wrong sometimes, right.
I used to be that way until I realized that everyone knew I was wrong and I really looked stupid because I was the only one who thought I was right..so I quit fighting it and just ate crow.
I hate BEING wrong, but I don't have a problem admitting it when I am. I use it as a learning experience. If I am at fault for something, I admit it, and do everything in my power to correct it. I learn a lesson from that mistake, turning it from a mistake into a learning experience. If you don't learn a lesson from a mistake, and remember that lesson, you are doomed to repeat the same mistake again.
I'm never wrong!! (ask my hubby!)
But seriously... I find it immensely difficult to be able to admit when I have been wrong. Even when I know I was wrong.
Human nature and also a LOT of stubborn pride!!
I am a VIRGO!!
carla
It is more difficult to sustain a wrong position. So, admitting that you are wrong closes the door on an unsustainable position. But I have to be sure that I am wrong.
I'll admit that it is hard, but "hate" is a very strong word.
yup- my pride takes a hugh hit! I work with someone who does it so well that you think he's a hero or something when he admits to being wrong. There is a song named "little miss can't be wrong"...everytime I hear it I cringe!
no... because if it's the only way to cut an arguement, then why not just admit that you're wrong or it's your fault - if it's really you... forget the pride!
I'm OK with it i just don't like it when people are
a-holes
I admit my wrongs everyday.
No I really don't hate to admit when I am wrong, or if I am at fault for something that went wrong. I learn from my mistakes and lets face it , there is no one that is perfect. We all have our faults. What a boring world it would be if we all were perfect.
