Has anyone ever had a fear of success?

If so, how did you overcome it. I know that I can succeed at the things I want to do, but for some reason I won't let myself. I think I am afraid of change and what succeeding will do to me.
I know this is strange, but has anyone else experienced this?

Answer:
Never let your success go to your head or your failure go to your heart.
I've heard that people have it...but I wonder if it's not really just the fear of failure in disguise
well, not a fear of sucess, but of change and i guess that with sucess would come change, so it would inadvertantly be a fear of it i guess. im in your position, only maybe not as strongly.
For me its the fear of failure in the process of trying.

Yes, i know i good be sooo successfully and i want 2 be but i guess i am scared of the change or something. I just know to be determined and do well in school. I know I can get far.
I think the majority of the people experience the same thing. That's why relatively few people are very successful. They are in a comfort zone and don't want or are afraid of doing anything to change it.
It happen to me when I was about 21, I was abnormally well in my career for someone my age and making more then my parents. It freaked me out so bad because I didn't feel "normal" and like I had nothing in common with my age group. I knew I was going no where but up so I freaked and quit my job ( I wouldn't suggest that) I eventually did what ever it was that I had to do to get things out of my system and start over from scratch again a few years later and I'm now 28 and still not making as much as I was when I was 21. I can't tell you how to over come but I can advise you not to let it get the better of you
