Did you ever notice and wonder why some people seem to thrive on giving cashiers and clerks a hard time.?
Answer:
I see people treating cashiers and sales associates like 3rd class citizens, blaming them for things they have no control over and it always makes me mad. My wife worked in retail for many years and it is a hard job to deal with people all day long. You never know why people want to be rude or talk down to others. Maybe it makes them feel bigger or better or maybe they have some problems in their life that they are taking out on the clerks. It's just wrong, we should treat each other with respect no matter what our job is. I always try to be nice and talk to the cashiers and sales associates. I know how hard their jobs are.
The insulting lady has very little control in her personal life and grabs at strings of control whenever possible. The innocent, meak store clerk, in need of her job and unable to fight back, was the perfect victim for someone like her. She is a sad, pathetic person.
strange things happen in all our lives and sometimes its for the better even though it doesnt seem like it . maybe , after all , the *** lady was just doing her a favor by getting her thinking mad or thinking sad but thinking about anything other than what she might have been while standing in a line that isnt hers to stand in if she didnt have to have a job .
I think some people do it for a few reasons..1 that they are sure they will not be assulted by the cashier.2That they think cashiers are easy pray.or maybe that those people who do those things,, will never be sattisfied in their sad little world and everyone else is to blame for their misery.
and you did not voice your opinion then why now, you feel safe ..that burns me up ..the woman in tears.... you could have said something anything to get her to back off. well thats just me talking. sorry
I'm a part time cashier/full time student and I know EXACTLY what you are talking about, however, they don't steamroll over me. I let them know what's up!
I tell them that I don't have any control over pricing and that well, that's the price. If they any further problems I send them right to the manager I don't have to service them. Please! I don't think so!
People insult others in situations like that because they have control over the situation. As they say the customer is always right. The lady obviously is a controlling person and I hope she nevers marry.
That was terrific in getting her attention. Most clerks and cashiers shouldn't have to take that from anybody. Yes, I've wondered that myself.
Glad you said what you did.
My daughter is a flight attendant so you know the pressure she under from the public.
Yes, it happens now and then. I've even done it myself. Most often it is a case of being hungry, angry (in a fearful hurry) or tired. That dread of being late impells me sometimes to forget reality. :)
it just mean the cashier has not learn to manipute their emotion in relationship to the customer so to get them to appreciate them.
