Take deep breaths and regain your focus on getting the situation under control. If some type of meditation does not work, then choose a physical activity whether its going out for a jog, or cleaning a clean house.

I can't say that I'm a person who gets mad...it's like a value that I have and follow.

listen to music. i also journal when i'm mad. then i just lay on my bed for a while thinking. after that i'm pretty happy.
We often say, "That person made me mad", or "She really pissed me off!"
However, we would be more accurate to say,
"I made myself angry because that person did not act the way I wanted them to".

I go to a place I know will be calm and quiet,I make sure to breath slower to bring my heart rate down.Then I ask what is the best way to diffuse the issue and walk away with the feeling I did the right thing.Then try to resolve the issue.
Drive my car. I highly recommend Z3 therapy and I'm convinced if all the world's leaders had one, we could solve alot of problems.
I think about how much better I am - in every way - than the person that I am mad at and then my anger cools off. And then other times I "let 'er rip," that is, I blow up and get it all off my chest with direct words which cannot be ignored.
this isn't healthy but when i get home I pretend i'm in a good mood and my anger just builds up. Except sometimes I drink hot tea or iced coffee and it helps some.

Depending on how angry I am-I pace around-frequently screaming or I get a pillow and punch it-really hard. I used to break dishes, but I ran out.
Tell who ever made me mad what I think and let them know in short order if they don't get moving they will soon wish they had. When they leave I'm still mad for a long time after that, I'm unforgiving to the max, I don't forget anything, or get over it soon..so it's best if I don't get mad.I can't find anyway to cool off once I am mad....it takes time.
it matters where i am... if i'm with friends, i get away from what's making me angry and get my friends to help me get my mind off of it. if i'm at home, i take my mp3 player down to my basement and turn off all my lights and listen to my music and dance and sing and just get all my energy out til i'm proctically falling over. then i go to sleep and i usually wake up feeling better... or at least not as mad as i was...
