Tell him. Or say "Hey I think we should go out sometime. I'd be fun." and then maybe even suggest a time and a place! If he says, maybe not about ever going out, leave him be, otherwise, jump on that!! Have fun with it.

Wait? No, I guess not or it will take forever for him to notice me. I think I have to be obvious to him: let him see how I feel. No need to be real coy with him if he's a friend already but not to the extent of ruining my reputation and pride. Like in a subtle way of telling him I like him because of this and that. It happened with me. The lady told a co-worker that she would like to go out with me. I had no idea. The co-worker told me. We went out and have been happily married for almost 2 years. Some of us are clueless about those kind of things. I thank God that my lady gave me a clue.
Flirt with him. Try a little harder to let him know. Unless he is a friend and your afraid to lose him as a friend. But you can still flirt with him. Look in to his eyes with that certain look and see how he reacts. See if he acknowledges it or if he doesn't than he probably knows you like him but is uncomfortable showing you for a couple of possible reasons. One reason, which yo probably don't wanna hear is that he isn't interested back. Or maybe he is just shy and its easier for him to ignore it than to figure out how to act back. Nothing, cause he'll know and makes a move on me base on that knowledge then its a turn off for me and id stop liking him already. :-) ironic!
Do things very subtly to let him know you are interested. Let him pick up on your lead though. If not let him go.
