Cockiness vs confidence who wins?
it seems like being cocky always get you what you want...being confident can too but takes longer, why??

It depends on the endevour you choose. Intelligent people can see confidence for what it is, and cockiness for what that is.
Most confident people get further in life in the end than cocky people, they eventually are seen for what they are and don't proceed further. Confidence is deep, cockiness is shallow.
It all depends on your convictions and strength of character.
I think nothing beats confidence. Cockiness is can be annoying.
sometimes and only in weird young immature situations, if you treat a girl like dirt, she will stick to you like mud.
Cockiness will only prevail in annoying the recipient. When the time for application of skills comes around, you will see who gets the girl.

Arrogance does it for me - I think the main reason it works with girls is it rings alarm bells and we think it's all a front so we want to prise off your "confident armour" and get to the softy within. I am not condoning this behaviout btw but I for one love a challenge ;op
