I have been a member of the RAC for 18 years, should I use another Breakdown service?

Well I have tried the AA and green flag and always end up back with the RAC
Auto National Rescue - £98 for TWO cars - all the trimmings - used three times - arrived within the hour on each occasion.
Never had a problem with them - AA & RAC were useless when I was with them
you have to go where you are happy, the AA is very good but then you also have green flag,
Now it is a matter of cost as they all cost alot of money, but I have a new cover with my insurance company
£110 for two cars, and that also covers europe, best bit is if you break down in Germany they have to tow me home.

Ive used RAC for a few years and you get a discount each year if you dont call them out. Ive had to call them out twice in the time Ive been with them and both times service was quick.
I've been with the AA for umpteen years, I have had no problems with them, they are always helpful and in one instance when I had been involved in an accident, not my fault, they were extremely helpful with the advice they offered.
Only you can really answer this question, look back over the past 18 yearrs that you have been with the RAC and ask yourself whether you feel that they have offered the kind of service/value for money that you are happy with. If the answer to that question is yes then stay with them, if no then shop around.
Personally I have been very happy with the RAC over the years I have used them, but it's always worth reviewing every now and then
