What is intelligence?
Answer:
Something I'd like a bit more of.
How clever you are
there are two types book smarts n street smarts but knowing about the world and people helps
its when you have a mind of your own, where you can think for ur self without using someone elses ideas or thoughts. Something you can call you..
well I'd tel ya, but being blond, you wouldn't understand!
The ability to reason, to solve problems, to use a language. An IQ rating is only a measurement of what you can do in comparison to a million other people of your same age, race and economic level. It has nothing to do with how smart you are.
inteeligence or intelligesia, safe sound decision making mind,
UMM!! That's how smart you are !! Unintelligent is how dumb I am!! Yeah!! That's it!!
intelligence as in c i a is information that has been checked, found to be true and given to the right people at the right time and in the right maner, something that alledgedly didn't happen alas prior to 9/11
B.F. Skinner, a well known and widely respected psychologist in the field of learning and inventor of many I.Q. tests said, "Intelligence is just what the test measures." There are different classifications of intelligence & many different tests to measure one's aptitude toward (for example) convergent or divergent thinking. Do a yahoo search for B.F. Skinner and or Milton Erikson these two names and their research should supply you with a plethora of intelligence studies.
Incidently our current Public education system is based off a an experiment by Skinner called "The Stupid Cat." Skinner errorneously deduced, humans, are as stupid as cats. The only way a cat can learn is endless repitition so Skinner thought the same for us.
Makes me a little worried that this guy (Skinner) is the one who created our I.Q. tests.
"It is the ability to make predictions about the future that is the crux of intelligence. "

It's knowledge.
AND KNOWLEDGE IS EVERYTHING!!!
The ability in which you tackle and resolve problems.
Intelligence is the ability to learn and retain information and experiences.
intelligence, like consciousness itself, is rather intangible. We really know it by it's manifestations. The ability to problem solve; some would say curiosity -I'm not so sure-because I think non-curious and passive creatures can be intelligent; perhaps the ability to communicate, are indications of intelligence. The ability to retain and utilize information is also an indicator. The ability to know things is a sign of intelligence-to understand the enviroment, objects and creatures in it. The ability to learn. To gain new information. People say tool-use but this is human arrogance. Dolphins; parrots and pigs are known to be intelligent but do not use tools. Perceiving, interpreting, retaining and recalling are functions of intelligence. The ability to gather facts and then go beyond them - to formulate ideas; concepts and theories. To think deeply. Complex thought - - to understand or at least acknowledge complexity. Perhaps playfulness and creativity are also signs. Intelligence can be manifested in behavior but this is hard to define in a general way and each behavior needs to be judged intelligent or not.
Some might say that intelligence is like acomputer with a lot of functions and non-intelligence is like a computer that is limited. I have a problem with this. I think that there will always be an aspect of intelligence that remains vague and intangible just like consciousness and life itself. A person like a computer to me would not seem intelligent but like a two dimentional thing. Intelligence, consciousness and life are organic and complex and as I said, contain intangibles, since they are all epiphenominon.
I dont know but if you have some lend it to me!!
Intelligence is a case of you either have it or you dont. No book can give you intelligence, it can only teach you if you have the intelligence to comprehend in the first place.
