If someone get mad when there is silence?
I knew this woman from work and we hung out a little bit. I could feel her get angry when she would sit or be with me somewhere and we weren't talkin. Like I was watching the news one time and she got mad that I didn't talk much. I just wanted to watch the news on my break. Then we were kayaking and she got mad. What are some reasons she would act like this? Did or does her dad ignore her? Something to do with her parents personal relationship?
Answer:
Some people are very uncomfortable with silence. I used to be like that. Silence forced me to listen to my own thoughts, and they were filled with insecurities and fears.
I'm not sure where you got the idea of it being her dad, but I suppose that could be a factor. I figure it's something different from that, but it could be any combination of things. I'm simply a talker. I express myself outwardly because I'm an extrovert. My boyfriend is an introvert, and he thinks inwardly unless he has something he needs to say. Just a difference in personalities. But many extroverts have a hard time understanding and accepting introverts.
If you want advice, I'm sure someone will offer it. I guess I'd say just let her know you're a quiet person, and it has nothing to do with her.
I think ur mom would know.
Maybe she doesn't feel comfortable with silence. Some people just cannot handle it. It sounds like she may be a bit insecure in this area. Just my two cents!
Well man, for 1 she probably likes you and wants to have those meaningful talks women like to have with the guy they are attracted to, and 2 she is probably used to being the center of attention, which means a lot to someone who loves to talk all the time.
maybe.. or maybe shes just paranoid, for instance, when its quiet and im with other people and no one talks i start to think, and u know how sometimes u can feel ur heart beat well she might get anxiety about the silence and the anxiety can sometimes cause anger, but if u really want to know then just ask her and talk about it.
A lot of people have insecurities and they come to the surface when triggered by certain actions.. Yes it could be caused by her parents or parents relationship.. it could be caused by many things.. but the question here, I think, should be.. do you want to continue with the friendship and spend the next several months or years trying to figure out the cause, or are you going to get on with your life.. Here is a very wise old quote that you may want to think about.. "A man creates the world in which he must reside".. Now since you are building a world.. you need to decide just who the heck are you going to let in... Sounds like your friend is knocking on the door.. but she only wants in when it suits her... which world do you want to live in.. yours..or hers?
THIS WOMAN HAS ANGER ISSUES THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!! It sounds like the amygdilla portion of the brain is not working properly. She may need medication. She could be bipolar or have a personality disorder. I wouldn't let her get away with this kind of behavior. You can always find someone without problems like this. Why do you have to be her friend and accept such behavior? Life's too short for BS. Ditch her and find someone else to hang out with. "Toxic" people like this can poison you and rob you of your happiness.
