Can anybody answer the following questions?
How do you define your relationship with your mother ?What did you learn from your mother?
Answer:
Relationship with my mother: non existent
What did I learn: what not to do as a parent ( and its working!)
That all depends on how you grow up. Everyone learns something different from there mother. Me I learned that she was the only person I could rely on. She is my best friend. Like I said it all depends on how you grow up. When I was growing up my mom treated me like her best friend so that is how I know her. I have learned so much from her so it is really hard to tell you everything. My question to you would be why would you ask this question?
Do you mean from various psychological perspectives?? From a personal perspective my mother died in 1978 from cancer at a very young age. She taught me about dying with dignity, a lot about humour in the face of adversity and loyalty.
I learned alot about my mother. I was living with my parents untill I graduated from college. I saw how much hardship she endured to raise our family. She had to send 4 of us to college at the same time and it wasn't easy. I learned how to be strong and persevere.
She treated me as an intelligent being, even as a child. She ALWAYS told me to think for myself and be myself.
During the Psycho sexual development a lot is learned from each parent. Not having a Mother can also effect the Oedipus Complex. It can also cause lack in maternal knowledge.
