Strange Feelings just before I fall asleep?

See hypnagogic hallucinations. It is quite common to see dream-like images, hear sounds, feel sensations just upon falling asleep. Here is a link. Not sure how reliable the info is, but it gives you a general idea of what I'm referring to but also something to compare to your experiences...

Its probabley because your blood pressure gets low right before you doze off

haha..these are the feelings of lonliness. or wonderment. Some ppl dnt have dreams as most do, some ppl have crazy dreams that may evn come true.
lol i guess that's pretty cool... don't take it as a burden, just think of it as something that exhibits your creative mind? maybe your trying to tell yourself something. or trying to stop something from happening.
maybe you will save the world one day.

When I fall asleep I often see many realistic faces of people who I don't know. I often wonder who these people are, so I ask "who are you?" but I do not get any kind of response from them nor my intuitions. I suspect they are faces of people I have seen without much notice, somewhere during the day?
Anyhow, don't panic. It isn't killing you. :-)
There is an image like this in the film A.I. where the 'robot' kid lands at the bottom of the waters of manhatten and stares into the beautiful face of a virgin mary statue for a million years.
Also there has just been a revelation on Dr Who - Last of the Time-Lords this weekend that Capt. Jack who can live forever could be The Face of Boe (an old wizened massive face in a bubbling jar) millions of years in the future. See episodes Gridlock, Utopia, Last of the Time-Lords on youtube or i'm sure someone will have done a compilation about it by now.

Maybe you are imagining of something dreamy and sleepery before you are gone to sleep. Thats a good news to start a sleep. Usually I did that too.. Yeah! Its nice. :). And I wish I could do that everytime without being disturb. :)
These feelings that you experience right before proper sleep would have been treasured in the past as messages from the gods. The strange semi-sleeping/semi-waking state is a great mind state to be in as it allows tricks of time and space to happen. Most people would have to take mind-altering hallucinogenic substances to even begin to experience half of what you can naturally achieve. You have a great mind - I suspect in a past life you would have been a mystic, seer or prophet - ever read Revelations - the last book of the New Testament? I bet that was written by someone with a similar mind to yours. Write these thoughts down - blog them! I would definitely sign up for it!
