Why are some people on FunQA.com so condescending and rude?

gotta agree with Dan and Azawalli. The world is full of fools, and if they can get away with it they will try. Apparently they think they can get away with it here on this site.
I believe it is a reflection of their personalities, and that when they leave the keyboards and go out into the real world they are accosted with reality and have to tone down their acid tongues, because in a face to face contact? They are rebuffed in real time. Here they think they can get away with it.
They don't have to answer to you nor I, but to Mom & Dad; sis & bro, the neighbour and friends they have to answer to.

Because anonimity gives people a sense they can be comparitively idiotic.
I think that the anonymous communication made possible by the Internet causes people to be much ruder than they would be if they had to live with the concequences of what they did (e.g., having their lights punched out by the offended party). As well, having spent a few months on FunQA.coms, it's become very clear to me that most of the people who post questions or answer them are tweenagers, teenagers, or young adults. Their ages are reflected in the level of maturity of their answers.
All of this is really unfortunate, as a forum like this can be incredibly useful. Its potential has been undermined by the idiots who bray most loudly.
Dan is correct.
The same might be asked about why some are so idealistic and immature.
