When I was growing up, science considered the mix of Nature and Nurture to be about 50 - 50. Today, science puts it at 80 - 20, in favor of Nature, or, genetics.
No one wins, the fact is we are all made up of a combination of both.

It is a race in which nature is given a large lead. But due to life circumstances and society, oftentimes nuture eventually catches up. It usually takes a while. Still, I give nature a slight nod overall. Especially in talents and intelligence.

I still think that it breaks down about 50/50, I've never heard of an 80/20 split
