Is the Internet creating a "vanilla mediocrity", a generation of bland general followers?
Now dont take this as a stab at knowledge sharing sites like this one, as i do realise the hipocricy in such and act and sure i've seen some absolute gems of wisdom that have blown me away with their insight on this very site.
But you cant help but notice the amount of questions that are answered through life experience, experience that cant be conveyed throught a 200 character text box, experiences these kid should be living and finding out for them selves as the answers, thought they may be an prefect example of your experiences will never be the same as somebody else's?
That is the least of my worries though, it seems that questions are being ask that nobody can answer but your self eg:
"what should i get for my first tattoo?"
Have we reached the point where wikipedia is the new oxford and the best answer is your new opinion?
Answer:
Definitely.
I've noticed the influx of "omg does he like me?" questions myself, and I have to say I agree with you - some experiences shouldn't occur through the web. I guess that's the problem with being "too connected" with the rest of society - your individuality is eventually removed and you let the masses think for you.
Thank you for asking this question, my mind's whizzing with thoughts right now!
