Why do I get sad and obsessed over little things so easily?

It's like I can be controlled by others or others opinion so easily. For example, when racist said something bad, what they say which are ignorant obsesses me so easily and I worry, get sad. Why and what do I need to do with this?

Answer:
Read "The Secret" I can't remember the author, but it should be very helpful for what you are describing.
It could be that you were too sheltered by your parents. Now you have anything but thick skin and are ill prepared for the real world when it comes to peoples' ignorance.

If this is the case, you'll just need to endure some more until you are more resistant to it.
You keep experiencing this state of mind because of the questions you are asking! take this one for example, "why do i get so obsessed over little things so easily?" Your brain will answer any question you ask even if there is no logical answer, it will make it up in that case. These types of questions insure that you are focusing on the things you get obsessed about and continue to get obsessed because as you receive the answer you focus Even more on the problem.
Focus on the solution, ASK " What can I do Now to to get what I WANT to do done and Enjoy the process! If you ask you will get an answer!
notice also how the question is phrased.
If you also tell yourself you want to do it rather than , have to , need to etc... you will feel better about it and it will become effortless!

All the best.
It's General Anxiety (GAD). One of those "For some reason no one cares when the due date is, but yet here I am almost in tears and obsessing over it for no reason". Or a stranger making an off mark about "No drinking on the bus!" and ending up for the rest of the day worried, stressed, and obsessing why the person did that and if you are a bad person or not or so on and so on and so on....

There are several things you can do and NONE of them is wrong. You can seek a therapist and get his opinion. Talking out your issues will help you face them and understand them better. If it gets bad, there is also medication--- which you could be on for just a bit of time (half a year to a year or however more or less), as a way to "learn" how to be without that general anxiety.
Learn not to be petty over every single things especially small issues. IF you listen or discuss with an open mind, you wont take negative comments so personally. Bear in mind, everyone has their own opinions and thinkings although it may not be correct. It is also not your business or problems to correct them unless they ask for it! If everybody think like what you do, then we dont have variety anymore!
Cheers!
Im pretty much the same as you, i become sad about something easily, and obssesed over it, I think it's becuase we are not concentrating on the positive things. All we inherit from the certain situations is negavity towards anything said. The best thing to do would be to think positive all the time, no matter if some one say's something mean to you, if you are in an arguments within any kind of relation, always remember to keep positive, nothing is going to hurt you because you believe in yourself, those judgements are only a set of words, what difference is it gonna make to you?

But im the same. I ought to consider for myself what I just told you.
Is it possible you are taking things too personally? Sometimes people say things that you have to just let go of. You can't control what they are going to say, so don't let them get you to react instead of just being you.
It sounds like you just worry too much about how other people perceive you. You are a little on the insecure side. You must realize that everyone has different opinions on things and having your own opinion is a good thing. You have to learn to respect and like yourself and you will become more confident. Then when people say things or what not you won't dwell on them so much, because you know that it's just their opinion.
