Coping with insecurities?
Answer:
go meet the people and the countryside
It sounds like it's not the insecurities that need dealing with (and everyone has them!). It sounds like the problem is that deep down, you don't trust yourself. You may or may not be aware of that, but if you really trusted yourself, your body wouldn't respond to those aspects of your life with anxiety. Maybe you made some bad decisions in the past, or maybe you grew up with people who made you feel as if everything you did was wrong. Either way, this would be the end result, not trusting yourself. My advice would be to start setting small goals for yourself. As you achieve them and begin to set new and more challenging goals, you will begin to see that you are capable of doing things right, and your body will respond to those achievements with a sense of self-confidence. Also, meditation helps, and I say that from personal experience. It does wonders to relieve stress (and so does yoga), and a calm and non-stressed out mind is always better at making decisions.
