What cheers you up, or gets you out of a bad mood the fastest?

the power of positive thinking is amazing. Think affirmations - (ie. this will pass, I am starting to feel better). Also, smile therapy is another way of doing this. It is proven that if you force yourself to smile, you will feel better. It may be hard but it works. You can distract yourself with something physical - someone said once that if you keep yourself really busy, you do not have time to worry or be in a bad mood :). Hope this helps.

The fastest way to get you out of a bad mood or cheer you up , is just saying to yourself " thats it , i'm getting out of this mood and do something , go out ,anything but do not stay in the mood your in .Go away.
Music and my ability to just not care. I know this sounds like croc, but music always has a way of lightening my mood (music soothes the savage beast type of thing).

When my boyfriend does things to try to make me laugh. It usually works.

my boyfriend. he is honestly the most amazing guy i have ever met. After i was sexually abused, i thought i could only ever be worth something to a guy who would hurt me. Then he came along and proved all of that wrong. He wipes away all my tears and makes me feel good about myself. I love him so much. Hes the last face i see when i close my eyes everynight and he has a way with words. Hes amazing. Hes my everything.
6:00pm on any given Friday.
I take a long shower so I feel all clean, then sometimes going for a long walk or bikeride so I'm not around anybody to get me angered. I also love to eat [which probably isn't a good thing] , so eating some good food might help.
If all else fails. I try and take a nap.
Friends are a good thing to cheer you up also. =]

reading a good book, it helps me escape what ever thing is causing me to be in a bad mood.
Something that cheers me up is text messages. I know this guy and he sends me cute messages that make me laugh. So i always get in a good mood when i read his text messages.

Cheers----a hug from a loved one, but lies being told puts me in a bad mood, and then I don't cheer easily
