part 2 Cateus is a surgeon at the fort,born in 47AD.He starts life a slave for the Emporer Galbor(later finds out Galbor his is father)and before his death gives Cateus and his mother their freedom. Briefly comes to Britain has a child who is considered special, Bran returns to village angry at the Roman idols being worshipped.He inflicts darkness on the village only brought back by the sacrifice of Igea. Bran finds out Igea his is grandaughter and prepares to bring her to life in place of his own life. Cateus hears news of Igea in his anger kills Bran.Cateus prepares Igea for cremation and places a coin in her mouth to pay the keeper.The same coin my dad found, hence the fact it had been in a fire. Cateus' pregnant wife was sent away for safety.But events lead to him thinking she is dead.
He has nothing except his mother in Rome, but is later told she is killed in the eruption of versuvius at Pompei/ Herculaneum. part three
