Answer:
Some of the courses you might take as an undergraduate psychology major:

-Animal psychology (Study animal behavior - how they learn, behave, etc.)
-Sensation & Perception (How we perceive information through the senses)
-Psych of Learning (I personally hated this one. It was tough and I dropped it.)
-Lifespan Psychology OR you can take Adults/Aging or Children Psychology
-Social Psychology (How people behave in society/social contexts)
Some electives I took:

-Counseling Psych
You will most likely need to go on to get at least a Masters if you decide to study psychology. You can go into different fields - Statistics, Research, Clinical, School psychology, etc.
I would never want to study it, in fear of becoming crazy. Imagine talking to sad person alllllll day and trying to tell someone that the CIA is not after you and he is just paranoid.
LA LA LAAA LA LAAAAAAA LA LAAAAAA (AHHHHH!)
Psychology covers a wide territory. You can, for example, study how people see, hear, feel, and taste things (perception). You can study how damage to the brain affects someone's ability to think (neuropsychology). You can study the behaviour of people in groups (social psychology). You can study how people think and try to make computer models of that (cognitive psychology and artificial intelligence). You can study animal behaviour (ethology) and how animals learn (learning). You can study how to administer and interpret psychological tests to diagnose learning problems, mental illness, or to identify personality characteristics (assessment). As everyone knows, you can study mental illness and how to help people with mental health problems (clinical and counselling psychology).
I haven't even covered all the bases, but I hope that you get the idea that psychology covers a very wide range of topics.
Ask your career teacher, or visit a university campus to gain more information about the course that you desire. I think USyd has an information day about the courses they run.
