Why on a rainy day most of us have poignant memories and feel sad about unknown things?

Answer:
It has something to do with the lack of sunlight. Sunlight releases chemicals in your brain that cause you to feel happy, energetic, and refreshed, which is why people get addicted to tanning. Anyways, when it is raining it "dampens" ones mood since there is less than an average amount of sunlight outside. There is actually a depression disorder that occurs in some people due to lack of sunlight- it's called SAD (seasonal affective disorder). Some people are more prone to becoming depressed during rainy or winter months. There are therapies that include a special light exposure daily to trigger the "happy" chemicals (endorphines) in a person's brain. So that would explain why people often feel sad when it's ugly outside.
speak for yourself, im most alive on a rainy day
Well then I'm pretty wierd. I love rainy days. They're different than the generic sun and offer some variety. What's life with a little variety?
