is my IQ of 129 good for me? i am 13

i took a IQ and its 142. but for your age its good.
I hope you are achieving up to your potential. IQ is potential, achievement is how well you apply yourself. There is also a memory test that also gives an indication of learning ability. A high score on any one of these tests does not necessarily mean a high score on the others. But if a person is neurologically intact, applying himself, and has no other learning problems, the scores should be similar within about two standard error points, which is a measure of variability.
If you were tested by a reliable source, psychologist, mensa etc. then your IQ is certainly high, all depends if you were given a childs or an adults test.
For your age it should really be an adult test.
You may be considered for inclusion to a gifted education programme, they are run from Warick University in England, Dublin City University Ireland.
These centres need to differentiate between top scores by testing candidates at two years above level or more.
If you still test in this range at above level testing you would be considered gifted and asked to participate in their programme.
A lot of people dont understand the IQ scoring system and it gets a lot of bad press, especially here.
It is actually a very valuable tool for the identifcation of potential.
Futher testing (above level, percentiles) are used to determine giftedness.
So an IQ 130 or more doesn't necessarily mean giftedness unless you have been tested at above level.
