What does this dream mean?

ok, so it's long and crazy, but bear with me: My friend and I were shopping at the mall. We pass police officers who are talking about 2 6 year old boys and a 14 year old girl that had all gone missing in this mall today. So we keep walking, and suddenly I notice my frind is gone! I think whoever kidnapped the other kids probably took her too, so I panic, then locate my parents. We think about telling customer service, but it costs $60 to do so! Anyways, I am sitting on a bench feeling scared for my friend, when I notice this tall guy (I can't see his face) forcing my friend through this door marked: Authorization required beyond this point. I follow him, and find myself in some sort of chapel. I hide under a pew and see all the other missing kids there. He shows them a gun, and tells them they are going on a little trip. They go through a secret pasageway and I follow. Then the guy notices me, and whips me with a chain! (not a nice guy, huh!) Then obi wan kenobi comes and saves us!

Sorry, but maybe you watched too much star wars and your thoughts in your mind made you dream that dream.
According to the activation-synthesis theory of dreams, the dream probably has no meaning at all. (Sorry, that may not be what you wanted to hear.)

Although dreams are influenced by our thoughts throughout the course of the day, this does not mean they are special messages to us that we should carefully consider.

Here's one perspective:

"Activation Synthesis Theory is a neurobiological theory of dreams, put forward by James Allan Hobson and Robert McCarley in 1977, which states that dreams are a random event caused by firing of neurons in the brain. This random firing sends signals to the body's motor systems, but because of a paralysis that occurs during REM sleep, the brain is faced with a paradox. It synthesizes a narrative by drawing on memory systems in an attempt to make sense of what it has experienced."
