I keep failing, what can I do to motivate myself?
I am a known 'give-uper'. When the going gets tough, I feel that it's bullshit to try any harder when I keep on failing all the time? What are some motivational techniques to stay on top on life, no matter what?
Answer:
Ask yourself what's important to you. And what the consequences of doing/not doing a specific task would be for you. Like, if you are going thru grad school and it's tuff and u feel u rather quit, what would the result be like for you?
Also, perhaps you need to try "differently", not "harder"...
For myself, my friends have been a good support whenever I had to go thru hardships.
And finally, you might not be able to "stay on top of life no matter what". You are human, sometimes humans give up. But you can change and get better.
Good luck to you
You deserve to do your best. And you deserve good things in Life. Read your Bible and Purpose driven Life. Workout- (really helps in goal setting). See someone psy etc. Pray- and you will feel better. That is what I have been doing and I feel a lot better :) good luck.
Successful people fail all the time. I've failed numerous times in life. You aren't alone. Follow your heart. Ignore the noise around you. Exhaust all your options in order to become successful. You only live once. I need to start reading the Bible more.
Let's see... You've probably heard all the bs... you know... how Edison told one of his workers after 1000 experiments failed, "Now we know 1000 things that don't work."
Then there are those sales gurus who maintain that every "no" is one closer to a "yes."
Or. Successful people fail all the time. The reason they're successful is because they keep trying.
Or... If you set yourself up to fail, you fail.
Or... Think positive.
Or. there's a ton of platitudes and homilies.
I had a very wise individual once tell me, after listening to me gripe for a while about where I was in life, "You are where you want to be. It doesn't make any difference how much you gripe about it. If you really don't like it, you'll change it."
Nobody can fix your life. You have to do it. It's up to you. You won't find the answer from somebody else. You won't find it in a book. You won't find it in a class. You probably won't even find it in a church. Nobody's to blame for the choices you've made. Nobody can tell you what choices to make in the future.
In the beginning of you statement, you label yourself; and you live up--or down--to your expectations.
