Any one kno about buddsim and the meaning of a red flag being planted wrong?

My uncle died and my family believes its from a curse his Hindu wife might have put on him?... (this is not ment to offend anyone in anyway)

I don't believe that curses have any formal acceptance in any Eastern religion.

Curses are only for the fundamentalists of any religion.
Well is it Hinduism or Buddhism?
