Nervous habits?

How does one stop nervous habits? Like hair twirling.

Answer:
Most nervous habits become a subconscious act when utilized for a long period of time. You need to find an alternative outlet to relieve the extra anxiety that hair twirling releases for you. Think of something that would work for you, perhaps breathing exercises.
Chew on a pencil. Or keep a interesting book handy. Or write in a journal.
If it's hair twirling I wouldn't worry too much about it. I never looked at someone twirling their hair as nervous, I thought it was more relaxed.

Decide you really want to. Then you have to decide on another way to release your stress. You might take up karate, punching a ball, jogging, dancing, singing, laughing at funny movies, even couching a local sports team. Have fun.
