I dont think so. WHen I first read Gone With the Wind, I walked around the house acting like Scarlett O'Hara. hahhaa. It;s good to be inspired by good characters. Now if you are inspired by an evil character, then we have a problem here.

I sometimes want to be like the characters, but then I realize its a movie, and go back to my real life..it sounds as if you are not fully content with your life, and you are obsessing over others fake lives...
ya all the time. it happened a lot more when i was a kid though. now it's only for a few minutes after an action movie or something. and the movie has to be really good.

It is not;
It is normal that when we are watching a fictional/remote story we put our soul if you will to it. We put our mind aside of everything to know what's going on the story so we can understand it better. By doing that you inmerse completely onto the story and sort of become more than a spectator and almost a character. When you do that you find something or someone to identify with. That person that you identify with, can be someone you wanna be, or someone you admire.
At the end of the story we realize that it was not real and we become conscoius that we were obsessed.
But trust me, it is not actually a bad obssesion, it is a good one because we try to find our dreams, passions in something. It is something normal of our own social psychological thinking.
yeah i did when i was a kid. i would try to be like a character i saw on tv
