looking at the brighter side of life and things and
being with good-natured friends who can make me smile and laugh...
i think it all boils down to our perspective. happiness comes from within so choose to look at and focus on life's beauty rather than on its downsides... happiness is a choice. choose to be happy! =)
looking for the bright side of things.
things learned or gained.
not taking things in a way that would be harmful.
drugs.
having "mini-vacations" everyday.
it could be enjoying a cup of coffee but considering it a luxury.
I try to stay present and not focus on past or future issues as much as possible. Not to say I don't evaluate and deal with those issues, but I don't dwell on them. I take moments to take a deep breath and really focus on the greatness of everything around me. I talk to people I love. I self indulge when needed, by treating myself to something pretty, or good food, or a nap. Also, I don't force myself to be happy, but allow myself to be sad sometimes, fix what I can in the situation, and quickly move on. Sorry for the stream of conciousness style of the post, but all these things help me at least :)
Oh and also the saying "it is what it is" helps, as well as the saying, "everything is okay in the end, if it's not ok, then it's not the end"
always be optimistic, in other words, look on the bright side of things.
always have self-confidence- never doubt yourself.
remember that a situation is never as bad as it seems.
if life really gets bad just think "oh **** it"
if some one puts you down remember that probably means they are even more self concious than you.
try to picture yourself as deserving. never think that you didnt earn something or you arent good enough to try.
Don't take life too serious,
enjoy what you have and not dwell on what you don't have.
Do something that will bring you self worth and make yourself feel better about you.
and love others regardless of who they are, or what they do.
be happy that it isnt worse then what it is.
and be thankful when it is better then it is.
Be appreciative of those who care and love you. for tomorrow they may not be here anymore.
Take one step, one moment at a time. and look at the good and not the bad.
smile anyways. and try not to stress over the small stuff.
Never let them see you sweat.
Knowing that no matter what goes on in this world, when its over, I will be in heaven because of Jesus.
