A lot of people are obsessive about germs and they'll wash their hands over and over and over and really have no control over it. OCD (Obesessive Compulsive Disorder) is very common. You feel compelled to perform a ritual of some sort, even though you may not personally want to do it, but you can't help it you MUST.
I assume if a girl tells you that you are obsessive, she feels you are paying too much attention to her and it's making her uncomfortable.
I would say to go and ask her exactly what she means when she says this to you, and when she answers, tell her that you will respect her wishes. It will take the pressure off and help you both feel better.
