When is human mating season?

I have heard several sides from this but I want to know if there is a particular season where humans have more sex.

On the one hand humans may not have a mating season because we have control over shelter, we can do it whenever we want, without fear.

On the other hand it would make sense if instinctually we had sex in the September-December window, for purposes of giving birth to your child in the spring and summer when food is plentiful and chances of survival are high.

Anyways, I wanna get links to studies done on this, or to anything having to do with most common months for conception.

Thanks.

Answer:
Humans can mate at any time of the year, as female humans do not come "into season" the way other mammals eg dogs do.

I expect in prehistoric times, it would make sense to try to time births to coincide with spring and summer.

I couldn't find any studies in this area, but here's a page on common/uncommon birthdays. Apparently most people are born in July/August, in the US anyway, so perhaps there is still some residual desire to give birth in summer - these days, maybe because it coincides with vacation time?

The most common birthday in the US is October 5 - about 9 months after the Christmas/New Year period.

Interesting question!
In spring the young man's fancy lightly turns to thought of love.

When the sap rises.
spring timeee
Winter is a good mating season. Gotta keep warm.
Whenever you feel like you're in heat!!
There is no mating season for humans as of right now. The reason animals mate at a certain time is so their offspring can be born at an optimal time. For instance, an animal with a one year gestation period may mate mid-early spring so it has ample time the next year to eat enough to support it's kin. Some animals will mate to keep away from migratory predators that like their babies.

Humans share non of these concerns, and are one of a few animals I know of with no reason to mate at a certain time. The only 'mating season' would be dependant on an individuals likeness for certain seasons.
no season mate, social occations, big events, any time ppl want to make something a bit more remembral, most ppl anywhay. strange thing though povirty stricken countries has a very high birth rate, doesn't make sence - less food more children.
dun think there IS a season. is there?
^There is no human mating season, that's one of the thing's that sets us apart from most animals. There is this one group of chimpanzees, I saw this on T V, they make love all the time and they really don't fight amongst themselves, and also seem to be bisexual. I guess the old saying Make Love Not War Is True.

Sorry getting back to your question, we really don't have a season, per say, thank goodness, but when it's cold out or there is a black out, the birth rate does tend to go up, there ain't no heat like body heat add a black out and what else is there to do.

Many births in September
September had the highest number of births, with a daily average of 586. Relatively many children were born in July, August and October, too. The spring months had the lowest number of births.
