I'm in the biggest confusion of my life...? what should i do help!?

cause the thing is that everybody is telling me one thing n another .. first ..this .."dont go to that school if u dont like it and u dont deserve to go to that college cause you can go to a better college instead of wasting time so its better for you to take some experince for a year and then apply to a better college'' and the other thing is ... "dont waste time just go to college inmeadiately because your going to be lazy if u dont do anything in a year "but i think thats not going to happen cause i want to work during the summer or during that year off and study in an institute to improve my writing skills .. the problem is that my best friends she thinks completely the opposite she wants to go right away to a wack college ( with me) i keep telling her that taking a year off is better then i changed my mind and i decided to go to the wack college with her and now i changed my mind again now i want to take the year off so waht should i do ... did i make myself clear..?.

Answer:
Hey it is really very big problem but there will be solution to any problem..Just you need to think peacefully and at right time...
I would feel that what decision you have taken is right because pursuin higher education in such a waste will not help you in your carrier and if study in very good college then through out your life you can be proud of your institute and you better do some part time jobs in that one year and prepare well this time and I am sure that you will get very good rank next time and get good college because you have very nice decision making nature..Keep it up...Just do what your mind says and dont think about any thing and get confused...All The Best...
GO TO SCHOOL! It is so much more difficult to go back after you have had time off.A semester not in school is a semester wasted. Any school is better than no school.
Choose the best school. Not the one girlfriend wants you to go to.

Take your vacation after you finish school. Don't waste time.

English is not your obstacle. Not listening to your heart is
If you are inclined to take a year off than do it while you can when you are young. You are going to be working the rest of your life!! Make sure you read a lot though and keep your skills sharp! Maybe take a mini course or something like that to keep your mind engaged!
Wow, it sounds like you're in a lot of distress. Well, if you do want to go to a good institution I'd do one of two things.

1) Take the year off to work. BUT stay as involved as you can in other things related to the area of study you want to get into. Use the time you would be studying to volunteer, work with clubs, etc. If you don't know what you want to study, be involved in anything, it'll improve your application to a school you DO want to go to.

2) Go to the college you're set to go to. Again, be involved beyond school. Take general education classes (math, foreign language, English). These classes are the best bet at being transferrable to another school.

Not matter what you do, take the upcoming year to research a school you're interested in and feel is at your level. Contact admissions and professors in the area you're interested in studying and ask them what you can do the upcoming year to improve your application. Different schools put an emphasis on different aspects of an application. Some are impressed by good letters of recommendation, others GPA, and some SAT scores. You may want to take an SAT prep course and retake the SAT if your scores weren't great the first time. Most universities ask for a personal statement. Work in the fact that you're new to the country (I think you mentioned that), it makes you unique. And ask people to revise it (like your sister) to make it strong and well written.

I'm a second year grad student and this is my best advice. Good luck, and don't get discouraged, you can do it :)
I waited before I went to college, and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed having a little time off, and it also helped me focus on what I wanted to do.
Go with your heart. Do what it tells you to do.
