What is your reason for crying?
Answer:
I cry when a painful secret is revealed, or when people say they are sorry. I cry the hardest when I reveal my own secrets, unburden my soul. I don't cry because I am sad but because I am relieved, well also sad because the secret is bad, but the crying comes from unburdening.
The last thing that made me cry was the article in the link below. It is such a beautiful description of what is right and wrong, possible and impossible today. The beauty of it makes me cry as much as the sadness does.
Another example of that is the scene in LOST, season 2, episode 3: "Orientation," when Desmond finally recognizes Jack, and confronts him with their interwoven past. What makes me cry in that situation is not simply the sadness of Jack's divorce, but the overwhelmingness of the whole situation, the story as a whole. And the fact that somebody is genuinely interested of course. Anyway, I can't really explain why, but that scene always makes me cry.
The weirdes thing that tends to make me cry is when people win something. Be it sporting events or film awards, if people in that situation express their emotions directly and honestly, that emotion overwhelms me and I cry.

I cry because I know I'm going to feel better afterwards.
i mainly cry when I'm emotionally upset about something. i don't cry when I'm in physical pain, i usually laugh as it's easy to forget about the physical pain by laughing and the pain goes away. whereas crying because I'm emotionally upset, it's hard to laugh about it to forget abou it, because most of the time it sticks in your mind, and you gotta figure out how to relieve yourself of it which is quite often, for me, complicated to do.
When i see that people in Africa are dying of hunger and Europe and America are spending trillions of Dollars on Defence and other trivial things.
Is MAN the supreme creature? im doubtful!
There are a lot of reasons for crying.
Sadness is usually associated with crying, we know that. When we are hurting, lonely, injured, stressed, or just plain sensitive we cry as such.
Then there's this type of crying that involves overwhelming joy, we know that aswell. When there's excitement and jubilation on a high level we tend to cry tears of joy.
Then again, these type of crying is only associated with emotions, as we also tend to 'cry' when our eyes are irritated by foreign substances, just like what happens when we slice onions.
We cry when we slice onions, technically. <<
