Are U like this with friends too?
I totally agree with that answerers statement, and realized its not that I don't like people; its like she says in her statement: I don't like pretty much everyone until i get to know them, and then I find out that the majority of them are good people.
Can you relate? And does anyone have an explaination for why we do this?
Answer:
i see what you're saying but i do the opposite
i like almost everyone until they give me a reason to not like them which may be never, so i tend to like pretty much everybody it just seems more...optimistic
hmm im not sure...i do it too though. it may be because we are afraid of trying new things or we dont know what to expect. you never know what the person is like. if that person isnt in your social group you may not think he/she is a nice person but they could be
I'm the same as Radhika, but to answer your question, I don't know why people do this. And I think it shouldn't be done. I am a very positive person and when in school I am able to start stuff in the classroom that gets everyone laughing and sometime my friends in trouble. (Which they also laugh about) In some of my classes some people look at me like i'm a disgrace, so in my opinion, if you don't judge people, you are more likely to make friends. I have mainly developed this skill from working at a family owned business at a young age and learned to treat everyone with respect and content. So if you see it bugs someone that you don't like them and you don't even know them, try to make sure they deserve negative attention before you give it. Then you will see why humans do it. (Because they don't think why they are doing it)
Some ppl are "slow to warm up" to other ppl. My daughter has always been like this since she was an infant. She seems to require "proof" of a person's trustworthiness even before anyone had ever done anything to cause her to distrust. It's just her nature. However, when she's in a more positive frame of mind, this is less so.
