Where can go to recieve an IQ test?
Answer:
Contact a psychologist that specializes in assessment and evaluations. You can try a local school psychologist (ask school counselors or parents or other kids who may have been tested for learning or developmental disabilities, for example), or go to your local psychological association's website, which may have an online directory and referrals. For instance, Los Angeles has its own psychological association, and you can call them up and ask. In addition, you might try local graduate schools in psychology. Talk to their professors, who could point you in the right direction.
Start with a spelling test. It's 'receive'.

Don't you realize that IQ tests are very unreliable? The questions are multiple choice, and many mistakes have been made in determining a person's IQ.
I can give you a personal example: As a young grade-schooler, these tests were administered to us. Mine happened to come out extremely high--so I was placed in accelerated classes--and failed miserably. I had to fight to get back into 'normal' classes, as clearly I DID NOT have the potential that the IQ test indicated. This happened again in high school--nearly brought me to tears. IQ means nothing, and they realized that years ago.
There are testing centers around each state. Several in fact. They might be called something like 'Psychological Services' or something along those lines. Schools also have school psychologists that can administer IQ tests to children who are deemed to need an IQ test for one reason or another. A great way to find centers around you would be to ask a school psychologist at a school near you where these centers are around the state. I currently work at a center like this at the university in which I am getting my masters degree. University's sometimes have these centers (especially when school psychology is offered as a degree) and offer testing for a much discounted rate. You can also just look up clinical and school psychologists in your area that have their PhD's and practice independently. Good luck!
