How to test for mentaly challenged children?

we have a RETT child thats how long it took it to notice
It isn't until the developmental stage, so, anywhere between two to four would be easy to tell. The way kids respond, play, and even put together a bunch of blocks are easy ways to tell whether or not your child is mentally challenged. If you have any concerns when comparing the development of your child to that of other children, ask a doctor. I'm willing to bet that you didn't need me to tell you that though.
Some times it takes a while 2/3 years, due to development, physical and mental. But I would not hang waiting, just treat your child normally, get him/her checked out if it makes you feel better, and remember all children are different, I did not start to talk till I was 3 and I have a very very high IQ and this make me very odd to others ??. So just take care and do not worry so much, take note of his/her progress and educate your self on child development but remember we are all individuals and some do not develop to the written plane!!!
