Can Anyone Explain This Dream That I've Has Since Childhood?
I'm in an enormous white room. There are mirrors, but other details about it's appearence are sketchy in my mind. There is a loud mechanical- sounding counting, 1-10, over and over again, getting faster and faster. I KNOW that it sounds strange. But as a child it terrified me. And i dreamt the dream last again last night, the first time for serveral years...
Any ideas?
Answer:
For many years I had a dream that I was running to catch up to something and even though I was running as fast as possible, I was in slow motion while what I was chasing and the rest of the world were moving at normal speed. I took it to mean I was going nowhere fast. I made a dramatic change in my life, taking my career path a whole new way and I haven't had the dream since (17 years ago). Your dream sounds like it is something similar, you are experiencing a countdown that is getting faster and faster, yet you just stand there letting the count continue. Maybe you need a change in the direction of your life. I'm no expert on dream interpretation, this is just my opinion.
In childhood, clocks were mysterious mechanical devices that had the power to push time forward somehow...causing you to fear them. Unresolved baggage, images returning over and over in your dreams.
Birth trauma!
You are escaping something in your life. Your are afraid of something and your childhood dreams is your way of telling you this. First stop and think what made you scared, or afraid. Second consult A Doctor about this.
sounds like your dream is trying to tell you there is something stressful in your life, perhaps at work, which you may have several deadlines, etc.
If you are religious then this is a way a lot of people picture heaven. A leage room full of beds and doors mamye be with mirrors. White. And so silent that you can hear a clock chiming.
I too get weird dreams that I cant put my finger on what they mean. Then I think about what I did that say before the night of my dream and I will realise that things Ive seen heard or done have all been part of a dream for instance. I once had a dream that I was in the SAS with Ross Kemp so that would be because I watched Ultimate Force. In a battle field because I had played Call of Duty looking around a factory that made ipods because my brother had an ipod that day. Also it had James bond in because I watched my brother play the James Bond game and also had wathed one.
So i point it down to previous experiences. perhaps you would have known then put didnt think hard and now its just a recurring dream because its one from your childhood.
I suggest going to the library finding out what else dreams could mean. or see one of those people I cant think what they are called. They can tell you about your dreams.
p.s
oh sorry I also had parts that wasnt a dream where everyone sounded as if they had a go at me and shouting when they werent. I found it was because I had too much wax in my ears after I went the Doctor. So my final suggestion is booking an appointment with the Doctor and ask him to check everything to see if there is anything medical. Or it could be stress. Because there must be a reason of why it has started now.
not sure but if you look anything like the avatar on here ill dream with you
