I am afraid of being a mediocre! serious problem, please help?
ok, i am 17 years old girl. i want to be a doctor and my school grades are perfect. i play piano and i will learn to play guitar too. i know how to speak fluently english and i am starting italian too. i paint , and i had serious suggestions of selling them. i dance great, i am quite pretty and the *hotty* boy of my school is in love with me. i am composing poems and music and i have been playing in all my school theatric plays first roles. in my future plans is a ''show'' in a gallery for my hobby, photography. I am interested in politics, philosophy abd religion issues. But after all that, i am nothing. i am not a prodigy, not a genious, not famous, not rich. i am a mediocre. i hate that.. any advise?

Come on, now. The next thing in line for you is slimming down to 35 pounds and calling yourself fat. Knock it off already and appreciate the gifts you've been given!
Are you kidding? Just be happy you have the talents you have listed. So, you want to be famous eh? Rich too eh? Then just focus on your education. Ya know, Doctors do a lot research too. Maybe you will find and interesting area and become famous and rich from discoveries in that discipline that will cure genital herpes, or some other heretofore incurable disease. Quit whining.
When people strive for perfection they set themselves up for failure. It sounds like you are a wonderful girl and everything is going well but your not happy because your not a prodigy or a genius not famous or rich ? Well think about it this way your not stupid or ugly your not a dork with people making fun of you and your not homeless you don't have a terrible disease that your gonna die from so really tell me why are you unhappy ?
You have low self-esteem, you have so much going for you and you think you are mediocre? Other people should be so lucky. Even if you didn't have all that talent and didn't get perfect grades and weren't pretty, you still wouldn't be nothing. Most people are not a prodigy, a genious or rich and famous, does that mean that all of us who are not those things are mediocre?
If you are unlucky, tomorrow you will die. If you are lucky, you will get old and die. But no matter how much you pretended to be mediocre, it would not change the fact that you are the most incredible and wonderful thing to ever exist. See this short article and learn all about yourself.
You need to stop fearing being normal. Do you have any idea how many people would love to be normal and they can't? Anything from being stuck in a wheelchair to already famous, do to relatives or an earlier career. You need to appreciate all you can do and all you have. Some people can't even get the time to learn a new language or have the ability to learn a new one. Appreciate what you are.
Help others of you have nothing to do.
