Has anyone noticed how people promise they will do something and then, never follow through on their word?
Answer:
Sometimes I think people really do want to help, so they offer, then they may forget. Other times, someone may be out to impress someone in the crowd and offer, never intending to carry it out. Maybe we should always have a back up person just in case? Go figure..I guess I'm happy the world keeps going around anyway...
Yes, it is very odd. Not to mention extremely rude.
yeah,
respect is lacking. everyone is out to help themselves only and could care less abou tthe common good.
I'll get right back to you on that.
Well haven't you noticed how society is becoming more selfish? Years ago if your car broke down on the side of the road someone would've come to help you. Hitchhikers used to get picked up without fear. Now it's totally different. Morals are gone..you can even have premartial sex and show skin and it's perfectly okay in society.
I call these "bar room" promises. To avoid the bar room promise you must: 1. "Say no thanks... I can take of "it" my self" or 2. "I'm gonna hold you to that, are you sure you can follow thru".
End of story... I too have had friends and non make promises and I've learned to defend myself.
Yes people will often offer to do things , especially in front of other people because it makes them look good. Then they forget cuz they got tooooo busy.
to get elected?
or to get your hopes up.
