American citizens, do 3rd world countries scare you?
i am so scared of 3rd world countries with the poverty and water you cant drink and stuff, anyone feel the same way?
Answer:
Absolutely. My brother moved to Brazil recently and I can NOT wrap my mind around the horrible things there. Can't flush toilet paper down the toilet (so what do you do with it?), there is soooo much poverty and crime it's just unimaginable.
Also, when I took a trip to Mazatlan Mexico and had to drive through the part of town where the locals live, it's horribly filthy and gross. Makes you really appreciate the USA.
hye peleadora I added you on yahoo messenger but you need to add me or something what is your name for yahoo messenger??
Yes...I tend to feel sorry for them
no, i think they sound exciting. as a woman i might not feel the same however...
depends on the country too, which ones are you talking about?
i eat the food from street vendors in mexico. it was delicious and i didn't get sick. and i've been robbed. that sucked. don't live your life with fear or you'll never have any fun.
dont b
instead of being scared of them be generous and giving and it you can't do that or already do the most important thing u can do for them is
speak out against their current gov. (if its bad most 3rd world countries r the way they are because of dictators)
and
for u to understand them and "their" ppl
YES! But what scares me much more are those living right here who want the U.S. to be a third world country.
i'm not afraid of them i'm sympathetic for the people there and disgusted by the fact that most the time we don't help, but we do have our own problems.
The only thing that scares me is stupid people. Unfortunately most of them work for the government.
no.. why would I be scared of somewhere like that; it's not like ill ever go there..
Not really, there's plenty of contaminated water and rampant poverty here at home.
Most of the population of the world lives in 3rd world countries. Ask that to someone living in one, they'll answer that's how life is and they are used to it.
No. Life is too short to be scared. People are still there aren't they? Take a chance and live life. This is the best advice that anyone can give one.
Look everyone is scared especially the Americans. I'm American but I've lived in the middle east most of my life and then i moved back to the states and man i hated it. I worked like a dog and the government took my money and i couldn't buy healthy food, and then i moved back to the middle east and everyone was like man you're crazy their gonna kill you. most of all Americans think Arabs are crazy and yeah there' re some crazies in this world, but it's awesome. They have bottled water
No, but I recognize they have their problems just as we have ours. Poverty doesn't scare me, it saddens me. Good things about them: they haven't leveled all their natural resources yet, they have a smaller impact on the environment generally per person. We could learn so much from them in so many ways, low impact housing.
Political turmoil is scary, but that's true no matter what world you live in . You can have a crazy regime anywhere, remember WWII?
The TP goes in the little waste basket by the toilet..it's no big deal. Many countries don't have the wealth to treat all water to drinking quality, since most water is used for other purposes. It makes sense really not treat washing/bathing water to drinking quality.
Aside from all that, the culture seems more alive and in touch with their roots and has an element of excitement to it.
I live in Venezuela and I scare extremely just watching what is happening, certainly, all of us 3rd world people and 1st one too have sufficient reasons to feel very concern about this real threat for a massive blood spill, many countries will be involved in this confrontation, and a lot of innocents will pay for the freedom and for the right to eat a rat running in the street ditches. Apocalyptic, isn't it?
what really scares me is the future of these kind of countries because with today's globalized world, the gap between the rich and the poor has been widening so rapidly and to shorten is gap will be much harder and take a long time to condense.
Hey, I am far more scared of the 'first world' countries. What damage can a few bacteria do compared to warfare and the obnoxious denial of the needs of the environment. How can second class toilet paper be worse than loony members of society shooting their fellow students. OK its all about perspective.
"American citizens" shouldn't fear anything, but it sure is funny how many do in modern times! The only thing I fear is fear it's self and the army marching down my street to take my guns and food, so I can't protect myself against them, or feed my family; like they did in New Orleans after Katrina!
