Anyone i need help with college essay "is being gay a choice or sumthing ur born with"?
im workin on a college debate with pros and cons of if being gay is a choice or if u are born with it. im on the side with where it is a choice because traumatizing things can happen to oneself and feel more comfortable with the same sex. anymore ideas on how i can prove my point tht would help a bunch

I think everyone is gay (in a bi sort of way) but we CHOOSE to be straight. That is, we choose to deny ourselves the pleasures of gay relations.
One can only wonder why.
That's the angle I think you should take on your essay. You don't have to claim that this position is yours, but I think it's an interesting position to take - I bet your instructor will find it intellectually engaging.
it is not a choice for some but for some people who have been molested or who had a very bad experience in past relationships (physical abuse) it may become a choice
Homosexuality is genetic. That is a fact. Bisexuality is a choice.
You'll probably get tons of answers like "IT IZ NOT A CHOICE UR BORN WITH IT U HOMOPHOBE!1!!1". However, no one really knows for sure. Despite what people want to believe, there is no proof that homosexuality is genetic. Just try to dip into both sides with your essay.
Just a thought, but why are people born without the ability to walk, even though people have been walking on two legs/feet for millions of years. The way I see it, we are born with the ability to eat and poop, everything else is learned.
Of course, then the question is, if it is learned, is it a choice? I don't remember ever choosing to walk.
