Why are some people more popular than others?

Some people are naturally more "socially skilled" than others.If you're not popular,that does not meant you're not equally likeable as the other popular kids,it may simply mean that you're shy or that your tastes and your behaviour are different from those of the majority of people in your school.The most important thing is not to be popular,but to stay true to yourself.And it is always better to have a few good friends than to know the entire school but have no one who you can turn to when you're down.
In real life,popularity is usually much different than what you see on the movies.The popular kids are usually the most cheerful and fun to be around,or those who get involved in more school activities(theater club,the school's newspaper,soccer team,etc).Even if you're shy-if you keep a smile on your face and show that you're eager to help anyone who needs it,others will regard you as a sympathetic person.
Some people are nicer, smarter, prettier than others... If there is someone who is happy-go-lucky, intellectual and gorgeous... They're obviously going to be more popular than a depressing, dumb, ugly person... Its just the way it works...
First thing is : out look of the person , then how tall he /she is , more tall the one is more acceptable ,
second : his/her presence which is a God gift , attractiveness ,
It's a mix of what ever attracts people to them. (i don't mean sexual attraction, just why you are drawn to someone)
A persons looks, charisma, personality, sense of humor, common interests and dress sense all play a part in how people are drawn to them.
I have found that when I was younger my peers were more superficial but now that I'm older, personality, general friendliness and common interests play a bigger part in who's popular.
They are god selected persons- they are dedicated- hardworking- sincere- punctual etc

So, next time when you bump into a stranger, say "hello" and give a smile. It's that easy.

In younger people though, popularity is often based on looks. In later life people focus more on how nice or pleasant a person is.
