When they need to save their butts or to add excitement where there is none.
...they are caught up in ackward situations and don't want to hurt the next person.
when they do not want to disclose what is within themselves.
when they want to save their image and distort the situation to their advantage.
Whenever they feel threatened, its a defense. Inless they're compulsive liars.
