How can i stop being a cow? pmt related so one for the girls!?
for about 2 weeks every month iam the bit*h from hell. i have really bad mood swings, tantrums which often involve screaming and crying (and even stamping my feet). i am completely unreasonable and very grumpy. the worst thing is i know i'm doing it but cant seem to stop myself, then i come on and am as sweet as a flower! whats wrong with me, how can i control myself? ahhhhhhhh
Answer:
The fact that you know you are doing it, but "can't seem to stop yourself" is all I needed to hear. Its all about self respect and control. You are clearly giving yourself permission to act like a prat, and until you grow up and take responsibility for your actions, it will continue.
Admittedly, there are some women who suffer horribly from PMS...but you don't appear to be one of them. Its sounds as though you give in to your emotions and use the hormonal changes as an excuse for bad behaviour.
think about the amazing things in life.maybe go to a doctor? all girls are abit moody..i am. i just try to be positive becuase life doesnt wait for you to get over the small things (or the big things). good luck!
Poor Gina. Try taking a high strength complete vitamin B supplement. This will top up you B6 levels and help even out your moods - as well as being great for skin, hair and digestion. I have to take my B vits or I turn into a hell whore.
I'm the same hun, its a *** ain't it?! I've not found a cure for it yet except biting your tongue when you feel a tantrum coming on and using your bloke as a punch bag! lol
Crap...just an excuse to have a go!
god i *** hate people like you
I take Evening Primrose oil. You get a really good one in Semichem. I got 90 one a day capsules for less than £2. Exercise also helps if you have time and can be bothered?
The first step to recovery is self-awareness, awareness of the problem, and admitting that you have a problem. Congratulations. You could be having mood swings which correspond to changes in hormone levels, especially an increase in hormone levels around the time of ovulation. If you'd like to stop being a "cow/b*tch," then I would suggest the following:
See a doctor/psychologist--- you could have a medical condition
Gina congratulatuions on taking the first to freedom. Just by admitting this is a sign that you are in re-discovery. So again congrats.
Now as you know PMS is part of womanhood. So the first step is embracing that part of you. Secondly, you may want to change your rountine. That may mean getting a personal trainer and working out during your PMS and aunt flow trend. You could also try to take some natural herbs such as St. John Worts that helps with mood.
You should also speak to your doctor about your PMS they may be able to recommend some good medication for you.
I am the very same as you. My doctor recommended the herb Evening Primrose for terrible mood swings. Evening Primrose is available in capsules over the counter at any chemist. Don't blame yourself. You can't help it and have no control over what you do, but there is help to ease it. Doctors put younger women on the pill to ease it as well. Most women find they do really help. I am in my 40's so they are not suitable for me. I hope you get it sorted. Cheers!
Diet change, evening primrose oil and maybe some starflower oil. You can buy those in supplements (the last two) - try Holland and Barrett.
The first part is, research has shown that staying away from white sugar, processed foods, salt, red meats, caffeine and wheat can dramatically alter pmt symptoms. Even better to go vegetarian.
Yep, the old tried and trues: fresh vegetables, lean meats, brown rice. It doesn't have to be a complete overhaul but trying a diet change for about a week and a half before the onset of your period can be helpful.
Meditation and relaxing exercises can help as well.
There is nothing wrong with you. It just sounds like a bit of an imbalance. I haven't read the rest of the answers to your question but ignore any tools that write in "jokes" about it.
It isn't pleasant to experience and being pro-active is better than listening to silliness.
To live sdc: Speak for yourself. All girls are NOT a little moody. Who says? Believing that about yourself and others makes it easier not to take responsibility. Did you know that some people believe that ALL men are idiots- some men even say that? How negative and limiting. People need to expect more from each other than the lowest common denominator.
Vitamins may help or the right foods but I found that when I went on to the pill (femodene), moods swings stopped so did all the other symptons and I don't bleed much.
Thats life as a woman honey!! Seriously, go see your Doctor, he will be ablt to help. Used to be same myself.
I had the same problem, and i got advice from a friend who said that evening primrose oil helped her...it takes about 3 months to work, but it really works for me!!
You need a diet overhaul.
