Does doing workout improve self-esteem?

Answer:
heck yes! i think it does u cuz u look better!
If your asking if working out can improve your self-esteem i would most definitly say yes. But as with anything, your self-esteem is up to you. For example, if you go into starting to work out with a negative attitude then it's not likely to help. My advice is, if you've never had a serious workout regime is to do your homework (unless you can afford a personal trainer). The first few weeks are going to be tough. You'll be sore, you likely may not feel great during the work out. It will be hard. Start out slow, walking, light jogging, air squats, push ups, etc. But if you are consistent, if you work out at least 3x's per week regardless of how you "feel", the workouts will become easier and you'll start to feel better physically. Your body will work more efficiently and this SHOULD improve your self esteem. If self esteem is an issue, I would look for a gym that people are similar to yourself. i.e. don't go to a place like Bally's or such because most of the people there work out constantly, are generally fake, and are there for dating or just to look good. Whereas, you have a place like Curves where my wife goes, that is mostly mothers or women in their 30+ looking to loose weight. If your a guy, generally, in smaller gyms you will find people who will help you out. Lots of hard core meatheads that are more than willing to help someone get started. So I would say YES, there is a high likelihood that working out will improve your self esteem. Just make sure that you follow through with it, because the worst thing for self esteem is failure. Success is the key to self esteem in everything. Good Luck!
I think if you're really devoted to it your self esteem will probably improve since you'll be in better shape.
