Driving Phobia?

I didn't get my license until I was in my 30's because of this. Now I will only drive in my town(under 5,000 people, I will not drive on the highway, because I have a full blown panic attack, I think I could if no one else was on the highway. I can't drive in cities either. But I am glad that I can drive in my town, it makes a huge difference in my life. If you live in a big city, maybe you could take driving lessons in a nearby smaller place, and then go for your license there. Then you could gradually get used to driving in your neighborhood, like to the grocery store and the school if you have kids. That alone could make a big difference. Hope this helped, good luck!
A dear friend of mine won't drive because of it...she is a good driver, but everyone else on the road freaks her out.
