Confused possible-sadist. Please help with serious answer.?
In Lord of the Rings when Frodo is in pain or gets stabbed. He is screaming, moaning, and contorted. That is really hot. Also in the Fifth Harry Potter movie (Order of the Phoenix) when he is contorted in pain from nightmares or torture. This really turns me on.
On the other hand, I dont at all enjoy say, a close up of an arm getting cut or someone getting whipped. What I enjoy is their face when they are screaming and moaning in pain. I have a strong stomach but I cringe at too much blood.
Does this make me a sadist? a soft-core sadist? is it just the adrenaline rush that comes with such scenes in movies? is it a sexual connection with moaning and screaming? Or is it the raw emotion? please help! anyone feel the same way?
Answer:
I don't think that you really want to act on any of these fantasies. You just enjoy fantasizing about the experience both as a victim and as a perpetrator.
It's sometimes good to reason through these types of emotions so that you can better discriminate between good and bad behavior in your personal life.
Fantasizing about an activity allows you to set the limits of your own morality and ethical behavior without having to personally act on these urges.
*shrugs* I would consider that sadistic, but you know... who says that's a bad thing? Society? Screw society. Have all the fetishes you want; I do. ^-^
Why be confused? Just enjoy it. You can't help the way that you feel, and if watching others in pain is a turn-on, then that's just how it is. Sometimes, I'm the same way. No biggie... just one in a billion fetishes I've got. lol
Don't feel like you have to find a label for it ,just accept it!
Research has shown sadistic fantasy etc to be completely healthy.Go for it i say, whatever gets your rocks of.Keep doing some research and you;ll soon discover what does and does not do it for you..good luck!
