Why do i keep having the same repeating dream?

when i was 7 my mom died and after she died i kept having the same dream where my whole family was playing cards and then a taxi came and my mom went into the closet grabbed her bags and started hugging everyone. Then these two police officers came to the door and they took her away. The cab drove of down the driveway and i ran outside and started to run after it and she turned around and waved to me. After this i wake up and im breathig really fast and i feel sweaty. I started having thsi dream when i was seven and i'm alot older now and it keeps reacurring. Why have i been having the same dream for most of my life?

Answer:
Oh that is so sad. You are just reliving your mother leaving over and over again.

You obviously never got over this. I think you should really discuss this with someone professional. You need to talk about your feelings. I have a feeling you have never really done this...maybe you've never really cried and grieved fully.

Your mother loves you and lives with you in your heart. Talk to her...let it out and tell her how much you miss her.

I loved my grandmother so, and I thought I would forever dream of her when she died...but I never have...it's like I carry her in my heart...and she knew how much I loved her.so there is nothing unresolved.

But you, you never got a chance to tell your mom anything...so talk to her now. She will hear you, and your dreams will stop. I think you need to pray to God to help you. Maybe your mom would like that too. If she was religious that is one way you could honour and remember her.

I cant help think of this poem...hope it comforts you.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Hey, I'm really sorry about your mom, first of all. The dream could just mean that you miss her a lot and this is a better way of remembering her leaving you than her actual death. Do you pray? I think you should pray to your mom and say that you love her and miss her. The pain of a death never goes away, but just remember you will see her again someday. Keep believing. Hope that all helps.
sorry about your mom, for starters. Since you keep having the same dream over and over again, I suggest trying to find out what its trying to say to you. Maybe your mom is trying to send you a message, if you believe in the paranormal and religious stuff. Search around online and see what some things mean in dreams. good luck!
you were so dependent on your mother as a youngster, and in a youngster's mind you were afraid she would leave you, so when she did leave you you made up a dream of her saying goodbye to everyone. There's nothing to fear about that. I would think if you are comfortable inside yourself as being totally dependent on yourself now for whatever you need in life that if you should tell that dream that you've moved on, that it would go away. If, however you're still not self-sufficient, then remove the dream by getting self-sufficient by being secure in being able to support yourself and in making life-long friends as replacements. Sure you will always remember your mother, that's a fact, but as a mother and not as a person who you would need to go to for your daily existence because there's a time when a person becomes an adult. It's a matter of talking yourself out of that dream, that's all.
Well sorry about your mum!! It must have been hard!!

The reason why you are having this dream over and over is because you havent really come to terms with her death and her leaving you at such a young age.

I would suggest you go to a psychologist or counsellor to go through these memories of her and losing her, it will help you to come to terms with this loss which you obviously havent let go off.

It may not be something you are conscious off so thats why it is coming to you in a dream when your subconscious is at work!!

I wish you the best
